Born and raised in Cedarburg, Wisconsin, Dorothy Allan is a licensed commercial real estate professional with a distinguished career spanning over 30 years as a retail strategist in the Consumer Packaged Goods and Consumer Electronics industries. She has worked with America’s leading retailers and brands, including Walmart, Target, Walgreens, CVS, 7-Eleven, PepsiCo, Kraft, Kimberly Clark, Intel, Hewlett Packard and Google developing innovative in-store marketing strategies that drive growth and success.
Dorothy has been married to her husband, Dan Allan, for 26 years. Together, they have two children, Jimmy and Grace. In 2017, the Allan family moved to Celina, Texas, where Dorothy quickly became a driving force in the community and a trusted agent in the commercial real estate sector. With a focus on Downtown Celina Square and the greater Celina area, her extensive retail knowledge and strong business acumen enable her to provide exceptional service to her clients.
A graduate of the Institute of Art and Design with a degree in commercial photography and Outstanding Academic Achievement honors, Dorothy also pursued business education at the University of Maryland University College. She was selected by executive management to participate in prestigious leadership programs such as the Kyle Craig Leadership Training, Leadership for Technical Managers, and The Global Institute for Leadership Development for Executives. She is also obtained her Certificate as Naturopathic Nutritionist and holds licenses in Texas for Senior Life and Health Insurance products.
Dorothy’s passion for community building and advocacy is evident in her numerous contributions to Celina. She served twice on the Celina Charter Review Committee, co-founded the Celina Rodeo, and is an active member of the Greater Celina Chamber of Commerce. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Dorothy spearheaded the development of the "20 Eats" app in partnership with the Celina Economic Development Corporation, supporting local restaurants with online ordering solutions.
In 2024, Dorothy founded the Celina Disaster Relief Fund, which raised $15,000 to support families affected by the tornado that struck the area. Additionally, as the Treasurer of the Celina Growth, Tradition, and Values Political Action Committee, she led efforts to decrease voter apathy and build a stronger base of voters in local elections. The PAC raised nearly $40,000 in 2024, with a portion of the funds used to support local candidates. Although the PAC dissolved at the end of 2024, Dorothy’s commitment to civic engagement and community development remains unwavering.
